Can I see your aluminium windows in a showroom?
Yes – in fact we encourage you to visit one of our showrooms to see and feel everything you are planning to put into your home.
Showrooms are very rare for the Aluminium Windows and Doors industry, but we want to give our customers the best possible experience in choosing and buying their glazing – and we invest a great amount in our showrooms as part of our principle of educating our customers to make informed decisions. You wouldn’t buy a new car without testing it at a showroom, so we’re surprised how many people buy the windows and doors for their home without seeing them in action first.
The great thing about our showrooms is that the products are built at maximum possible sizes to show you how they operate at their most extreme parameters. Many customers are taken aback at just how large and expansive their doors and windows can be – and you may find that you leave our showroom with fresh enthusiasm and inspiration for your project!
We have 2 showrooms in the UK: our new flagship store at Winnersh near Reading, which we recently fitted out at a cost of £120k, and the showroom at our factory in Heywood, Greater Manchester.
The address and direct telephone number for each showroom, as well as opening hours and interactive maps (including directions and estimated travelling time from your point of departure), can be found here.
Do you offer an On-Site Survey for my aluminium windows? When does this take place?
Our on-site survey is an essential part of your aluminium windows project to make sure installation goes as smoothly as possible. Conducting an on-site survey ensures that all measurements are taken correctly, and that you get the exact product and finish that you require.
Our surveyor Jonny Hunt has been with us for 15 years and knows his craft inside out. He’ll make sure the planned U-Values of your windows comply with all Building Regulations for your project, and check if the location of your home means that your windows and doors will require special paint treatment or other considerations.
Jonny will also check that any building work done matches our understanding of your product, and he’ll be able to spot any potential unforeseen problems before installation. His experience and expertise will then help you make the necessary changes to your glazing requirements to keep the project on time and within budget.
On-site surveys are usually carried out once you have agreed our quotation and placed your order. This is because glazing is usually chosen and ordered before any building work is carried out, so there’s nothing to survey at that time. Our staff are trained to prepare your quotation from your architect plans and by discussing your requirements so there is usually no need to prepare a survey before we can give you a price for your windows. This also means you don’t have to end up paying for 2 surveys – you can rely on our experience to get it right first time.

Do you cover my area?
Luxal is a national company and unlike many glazing companies we cover the whole of mainland UK from Land’s End to John o’ Groats. We have our own in-house delivery and installation teams travelling throughout the UK – you may have even seen one of our sign-written vans in your area!
We have 2 showrooms in the UK where you can see and feel our aluminium windows and doors before purchasing, and we are planning to open many more locations over the next couple of years.
Being a leading UK luxury aluminium window manufacturer, we also provide our products on a “supply-only” basis and can deliver to any port in mainland UK for shipping anywhere in the world. We regularly supply aluminium glazing to customers in Ireland, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.
Our products have also been bought from further afield, with many items being shipped to Europe and even as far as Canada and Saudi Arabia.
But no matter where you are in the world, we will provide you the same first class service and support that all of our customers have come to expect and enjoy.
Do you have any brochures showing the aluminium glazing products you offer?
We have a wealth of information available to you in order to help you decide which aluminium glazing products are best suited to your project.
Our 30 page brochure is available in both hi-resolution online format and printed copy. You can request a free printed copy of our brochure by completing our Contact Form or by calling us on 0203 00 22 088.
Our brochure features all of our luxury aluminium glazing products along with pictures and technical information. Also included in the brochure is some information about Luxal and our partnership with Reynaers at Home.
The brochure will give you a good starting point in deciding which products to use in your project – you could even pass it on to your architect/designer so that they can incorporate our products into your design.
If you have already made your mind up on what type of glazing products you want to incorporate into your project, we have individual product cards for all of our products such as bifold doors, sliding doors, aluminium roofs, and all of the different window systems that we have available. These are also available in both PDF format and hard-copy.
Once you have read up on our products in the brochure feel free to give us a call and speak to one of our friendly consultants to discuss in more detail how our aluminium glazing products could feature in your project and give it the ‘wow’ factor – the possibilities are endless!
What is the U-Value of the aluminium windows you sell?
Aluminium window U-Values vary greatly on the design and specification of the frame and glazing, and at Luxal we offer a number of products to suit all budgets and thermal performance requirements.
Even our entry level ECO system produces impressive results with a U-Value of 1.6 W/m2K which comfortably passes current Document L building requirements.
For projects requiring very high thermal performance windows we can offer the industry leading CS104 which can be used for Passivhaus construction with a U-Value down to 0.77 W/m2K.
